💬 Frequently Asked Questions:
1. What can I expect during the first appointment?
Your initial visit will include a comprehensive psychiatric evaluation where we’ll discuss your concerns, medical and mental health history, and goals for treatment. This helps us determine the best plan moving forward—whether that includes medication, supportive therapy, or both.
2. Do you prescribe medication?
Yes. As a board-certified psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner (PMHNP), I am licensed to prescribe medications, including antidepressants, anti-anxiety medications, mood stabilizers, and others, when clinically appropriate.
3. Do you offer therapy or just medication management?
I provide supportive psychotherapy alongside medication management, using an integrative approach tailored to your individual needs. The frequency of visits varies based on your goals and symptoms but is typically monthly or every 2-6 months. If you're seeking more intensive weekly therapy, I’m happy to collaborate with a dedicated therapist to ensure you receive well-rounded, consistent care.
4. What types of conditions do you treat?
I work with adults (age 20 and older) navigating a range of mental health concerns, including:
Depression
Anxiety
ADHD
